A Small Communities Generosity for Earthquake Victims

Donation gratefully accepted.

The Linwood Salvation Army were very appreciative of the cheque for $100 and the assorted foodstuffs that our community raised to help with earthquake relief.

It was great to see our community getting behind this fundraising effort.

Our thoughts go out to those people who have to rebuild their lives.

Art, Sport and Hats

All of the children and staff learnt a great deal about art this week when we were visited by Wendy Duggan. The lessons were a great success.

Our 149th annual athletics day was also a great success. Many children achieved personal bests and it was great to see parents joining in on the relay race. We are looking forward to taking a team to zones next Friday.

It is time for everyone to be wearing a sunhat. We have them for sale in the office. Please name them once purchased.

Term 4 Is Up and Away

Back to school and we have hit the ground running - literally. Children are all practising for athletics. Running, jumping and throwing can be things we take for granted but the skills need to learnt. We are looking forward to a wonderful athletics day next Wednesday.

If memory serves me well the weather today is a duplicate of when we had the Golf Tournament last year. Still I am sure the weather will not dampen the spirits of the competitors. Thank you so much to the PTA for running this wonderful fundraiser for our school.
