Rugby Fun Day

Year 4, 5 and 6 YMS Rugby Team

Rugby Fun Day really lived up to its name. It wasn't really the fact that we won our three games; it was just so great to see all of the team giving their best. Everyone played hard but fair and the boys all played as a team.

The tricky part of rugby is having the courage to make tackles. Tackling is very important but also a little scary if someone is running towards you very fast. Our tackling efforts were superb.

Our passing was slick and our running was explosive. The fact that everyone in the team knew that they could count on each other meant that progress was made up the field towards the try line very quickly.

Another important aspect to the games was that we did not play the 'blame game'. When someone on our team made a mistake we fixed it up and carried on.


Thank you to the parents for their support on the day. It was very enjoyable to be part of such a well organised event.
